Autistic public figures

Here's a non-exhaustive list of autistic celebrities that have publicly identified themselves as such. This does not include speculation about anyone's neurotype.

Maybe we should rename this pages to "Autistic public figures" or something? "Celebrity" has a certain connotation to it that implies "famous media personality almost everybody knows", which doesn't really apply to e.g. politicians or authors who aren't that well-known outside their genre-specific fanbase. "Public figure" (or something similar) sounds more neutral while still reflecting the "spirit" and intention of this list. --Fochti (talk) 03:08, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Maybe sort this by

- Actors
- Musicians
- Scientists
etc? --Fochti (talk) 03:04, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

>> When we have more people in the list, then we'll be able to better see what kind of labeling and sorting is useful. I'd def like to see some of that, but would like to wait until it's needed. Severian (talk) 16:57, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Somebody could change the links at the end to proper references. I'm also not a fan of citing Wikipedia as a source tbh --Fochti (talk) 03:04, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

>> I agree the wikipedia citations are not the best, but they're easy. They're mostly placeholders until someone has time to find better citations. If someone wants to improve the page, it's often straightforward to look at a wikipedia page, check its citations to news articles or social media post, and replace the wikipedia source link with a better one. Social media announcements are probably the best ones. Severian (talk) 16:57, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
