Hashtags
This is a list of autistic community hashtags commonly used on Twitter.
General Use Hashtags
- #AuADHD #AuDHD
- This is about being both Autistic and ADHD.
- #autism #autistic
- This is about autism or an autistic person.
- #ActuallyAutistic
- The tweet author is an actually autistic person. This hashtag is specifically not for use by non-autistic authors when referring to somebody else, but "actually autistic" without the hashtag works.
- #AskingAutistics
- This is a question for an autistic person to answer. Non-autistics can use this hashtag instead of #ActuallyAutistic to summon an actually autistic oracle.
- #AutismAcceptance #AutismAcceptanceMonth
- We generally like this better than #AutismAwareness.
- #AutismAwareness #AutismAwarenessMonth
- This is the dominant brand for pro-autistic cheerleading. We generally prefer #AutismAcceptance.
- Sometimes we'll joke about #AutismBewarenessMonth because that's what it feels like.
- #MentalHealth
- We're talking about something related to mental healthcare.
- #neurodivergent #neurodiversity
- This tweet is about a neurodiversity thing that's not just about autism.
Special Purpose Hashtags
- #ABAIsAbuse #BanABA
- protesting Applied Behavior Analysis
- #StopSpectrum10K
- protest Spectrum10K genetics study
- #StopTheShock
- protesting JRC electric torture
This section needs a bit of formatting work on the hashtags. I want to fix the font, and maybe make them live links to Twitter searches. --Severian (talk) 17:15, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
