Definition, history, controversies, and more about the term "neurodivergence"/"neurodivergent"!

• Difference between neurodiverse/Neurodiversity and neurodivergent
Someone who is neurodivergent has a diagnosis (professional or self-dx) of one or more of the following: ASD, ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, and many more. A single person can be neurodivergent. Many people with differing diagnoses are a neurodiverse group.

• Neurodivergent vs Neurotypical
A neurotypical (NT) is someone who does not have any diagnosis considered to be neurodivergent (ND). Sometimes NT is used as a synonym for allistic, which is someone who is not autistic, but could have another ND diagnosis.
